I just use baby shampoo on my Smashbox brushes and never had a problem, the trick is to drop a bit of shampoo in the palm of your hand and work it in to the brush then rinse under a running tap never letting the water run into the metal casing then squeeze and dry flat.

i have a question, after using this solution, cuz all i use is mac brush cleaner, due to the bristles dry quickly, and then to deep clean i use baby shampoo and running water, so anyway my ?? is does this solution work like mac or does it take hours for the bristles to dry??? please hit me up asap thanx girlllll..

you should deep clean them atleast once a week or two weeks. but you can use a brush cleanser after each use if you want to because the cleanser dries quickly

when u put ur brushes in the water make sure only the bristles get into it not any deeper because the bristles will seperate from the handle

you arent suppose to swish it around in the solution, only dip it.. bc now ur solution is dirty and contaminated and u dip the brushes into the dirty water.. know what i mean? You arent really sanitizing them
