That moment between Cassie and Thelma was very good, made me feel ok that her character was done on the show. I guess she never really could have developed as a strong assertive type who would rule the whole show- she was always a little bit weak willed and shy. I'm glad she passed the crown to thelma- who is still the most interesting character on the show

i'm not quite sure, but this takes place in england,right?as far as i know the church of england is quite liberal, they're having also female priests and are discussing about letting homosexual couples marry, i don't know if there are chastity vows, but maybe, they have a similar policy like the protestants and their priests are allowed to marry too...
as i said, i don't know, it's just a thought of mine...

Since they are in England, I'm working on the assumption that he is a priest in the Church of England. CoE priests only take vows of celibacy if they are members of religious orders (monastaries, for example). The secular clergy (those not in religious orders)are still allows to be married before or after ordination. I am pretty sure, however, that they still must follow the traditional rules about not having sex outside of marriage, so in that respect there are rules against it.
