Dick Cheney is extremely smart. He always has an answer ready for the toughest questions, those answers often being lies or distortions. My theory is that during the Clinton years, the 1990's, Cheney , Rumsfield, Wolfowitz, etc., became bored. They still had major influence, and they saw the potential to turn the Presidency into what they wanted it to be, a dictatorship. But to achieve this, they had to have an "event." no, it's not about money anymore. A lot of the decisions made in the Bush Whitehouse were paying the debt they had to pay for obtaining their power, essentially starting a war for Big Oil and the military industrial complex to profit.
