A wonderful parody - as an UpDown' enthusiast I've always liked it! Mr Baxter captured Rose's prissiness well. The Upstairs characters don't work quite as well however.

Absolutely brilliant. I've got the whole series of "Upstairs Downstairs" on video and it's so close to the real thing. Stanley Baxter is phenomenol. His Dame Edith Evans and Sir John Guilgud are astoundingly real.

Mr Baxter wouldn't get on TV nowadays - he has TALENT. His 'Annals of Scotland Yard' has the greatest line said by an usherette to a policeman. I have Dennis Bergkamp's autoggraph - I only want Stanley Baxter's now. Both true 'genius'.
