damn 16 hours I dont see how that is possible I have played this game through many times and could only accomplish maybe a 25-30 hour game..but yea what a wonderful and amazing game it is anyway.

Cross is a good game! but a little bit distant from Trigger... I like it, but i don't feel it to be a continuation of Trigger... But both are great games!

i liked it too, but definitely not a perfect 10. honestly, i actually didn't like that there were SO many playable characters. some of them were memorable but a lot of them just joined the party for the sake of having more playable characters. just my opinion, by the way. i can't wait to get chrono trigger ds, even if it is just an "enhanced port".

just watched a couple videos of some orchestras in the US from around the country trying to play this. Tokyo really does sound much better. just a lot more polished.

I actually have to agree. I'm playing through Cross for the first time now and think it's absolutely superb except for the absurd amount of playable characters. There's just no way I can really use them all. It might work a little better if parties weren't limited to three characters at a time and/or Serge/Lynx didn't have to be one of those three all the damn time.

Yeah, I also got confused by some of the battle elements. Either that, or I just didn't really give it a chance to learn it in depth. But somehow, I learned every aspect of Final Fantasy Tactics without a hitch, and that has pretty deep elements as well. I'm actually pleasantly surprised to see how many people acknowledge how great CT is. Not that anyone is wrong if they like CC better, but for some reason I expected more people to defend CC so I put up a flame shield early lol.

Interesting. I can't play Tactics at all. I've watched my roommate play it for about an hour and never had any idea at all what was going on. On the other hand, I think Chrono Cross's battle system is extremely elegant and interesting. Didn't take me much time to get used to it at all. But yeah, it still can't beat Chrono Trigger, as far as I'm concerned.

Agree, Squaresoft are a bunch of bastards, they have such great franchises that deserve comebacks, in the form of remakes, such as Chrono Trigger and Front Mission. And yet they insist on just making Final Fantasy games.
