See you say "freed ... ( 1 month ago by nerdycub)
See you say "freed from the tyranny oppressing them" and I will ask what do you mean? Do you mean Bush? Well he will be gone on January 8th. Do you mean corrupt officials? Well we are a Republic (a form of democracy) and yes we will elect corrupt officials from time to time but when their time is up we have the option of booting them out of power. So maybe the tyranny oppressing us is corruption? Well please do name one government that is free from corruption.
Is our government ... ( 1 month ago by nerdycub)
Is our government the most efficient? No. Is it the best form of government? No. Is it free from corruption? No, but we like it and wont let a few bad apple spoil the bunch. Please when you say that we as Americans are suffering from American tyranny be more specific.
Oh, so all of a ... ( 1 month ago by germanicus24)
Oh, so all of a sudden banning every single UN resolution against Israel, committing terrorism and occupying neighboring countries, and not allowing inspectors in their nuclear sites is all conveniently reduced to corruption? So systematically electing presidents who murder 1 million innocent brothers in kind during their terms, is just standard corruption, and also creating terrorist movements like Al Qaeda, the Talibans, the Jundallah army, the MKO and the PKK is all "corruption"?
It was a ... ( 1 month ago by nerdycub)
It was a hypothetical. I was asking why you were saying that we (as American citizens) needed to be freed from American tyranny? I was for more clarification. Is America tyrannical because it is corrupt or is it tyrannical for another reason. I simply asked you to further explain yourself. I wasn't trying to trivialize the matter if that is what you deducted from my responses.
I must admit I was ... ( 1 month ago by germanicus24)
I must admit I was really regretting the way in which I replied to you. Im too passionate when I think people trivialize things such as the slaughtering of fellow human beings. I find America to be a tyranny for many reasons, not necessarily corruption. One of them is the one pointed out, on how votes of the people are merely used to legitimize the plundering, occupation, and disruption of other nations along with the killing of innocent humans, when Americans, as human beings, oppose this.
I am guessing you ... ( 1 month ago by nerdycub)
I am guessing you are talking about Afghanistan as well as Iraq? This reply will be somewhat fractured and at some-points non-sensical. See America did indeed take a vote as to go to war in both places and yes they were both voted for. The vote for the Senate to pass the acts of war were both passed by a large majority. It was also backed by a vast majority of Americans (myself included). While over time the public opinion has changed to be in opposition of the war.
Part of the system ... ( 1 month ago by nerdycub)
Part of the system of our cheques and balences is that after the Senate declared war the only people who can oppose it are the President or Congress. In order to overturn an act of war Congress must have a 2/3rd majority, however this congress has been split down the middle in terms of pro-war and anti-war congressmen and women, the 2/3rds majority has been impossible to overturn. See Congress has the power of the purse (money) and the way they stop wars is simply by denying funding for the war
You are somehow ... ( 1 month ago by germanicus24)
You are somehow trying to equate a tyranny with a dictatorship. Nobody said the American people didnt "choose" to go to war - if that is how you can call it via a system of such indirect civic participation -, but the whole point is about the information the people handled to make their decision. It was based on fear, it was based on FALSE patriotism, as part of a governmental campaign, and that is precisely how a tyranny works no matter if you have "representatives" voting for you.
Oh I have to agree ... ( 1 month ago by nerdycub)
Oh I have to agree with you. We didn't go into Iraq waving the vial of freedom juice. They were supposed to have WMDs and they didn't. I agree with the fact that Colin Powell lied during that presentation to the UN and that the neo-cons have been running around for the last 8 years saying that not agreeing with them and Bush 100% is un-patriotic.
Thank you for your ... ( 1 month ago by germanicus24)
Thank you for your understanding. The reason why I go on to say the US is a tyranny is because all of that is not respective to just these neocons, those Republicans or whatsoever. It is outrageous, how in a supposed era of awareness, people still think Bush has some sort of monopoly of evilness, when Clinton killed more Iraqi innocent children than Bush, under the exact same excuses. The only difference: Clinton didnt ruin the economy while at it, and that is as far as it goes.
Oh you're quite ... ( 1 month ago by nerdycub)
Oh you're quite right. However today the Neo-Cons are the ones beating the war drums. When Clinton was in power Saddam invaded Kuwait, an American ally and also received the approval of the UN. By calling Clinton tyrannical you also call the UN (back in the mid 90's) the same thing. Unlike Bush former president Clinton aided Kuwait with the blessings of the United Nations. Oh and one thing. It is former Presidents Clintons economic policies that have come back to bite us in the ass.
Not President ... ( 1 month ago by nerdycub)
Not President Bush's. It was Alan Greenspan with the blessing of former president Clinton that created both derivatives and sub-prime mortgages. The very two tools that have brought about this economic crisis.
The UN cant be a ... ( 1 month ago by germanicus24)
The UN cant be a tyranny simply because it is not the government of a nation, but rather a fictional entity. And I wouldnt really have any problem in saying "bad" things about the UN, given that while they knew Saddam had disposed all WMD, they still approved sanctions which according to themselves killed 500,000 innocent Iraqi children, and over 1 million human beings. It may sound terrorist to bash the "democratic" UN, but given the facts Im sure, if there is God, we will be in agreement.

The UN can be tyrannical, one doesn't have to be elected to power to be a total douche bag. Come to my OPE class, we have some neo-nazi emo asshole and he tries his damnedest to make sure no-one gets anything done. I can comfortably come to the conclusion that we agree on one same fact. The UN is a total waste of time and energy. Hell you are agreeing with most of the US on that fact. The only one person I know that thinks the UN is not useless is a guy who lives in a VW van out in the woods an

at 3 minutes, its about 2 minutes too long, but it is kinda funny. the author just went wayy too long on the time. the joke gets stale quick, like old bread, and no matter how long you toast that old bread for, it still just tastes like stale toast. as for NERDYCUB - i dont know what kind of neonazi you know, but NO neonazi's are emo. get it right; you dont like him and his views, BUT NO neonazi would EVER be emo - theyd rather burn emo's in the ovens. you hating them should know this, fag.

According to the Reporters Without Borders Press Freedom Index for 2007, only three other countries - Eritrea, North Korea and Turkmenistan - have more restrictions on news media freedom than Iran.[75] Its 2007 report on Iran says "Dozens of journalists were arrested in 2006 for criticising the authorities ill tell you with a president ahmadinejad wanting democracy in israel, they sure have the most repressive press to ensure that any unfavorable facts of iran dont see the light of day

When Mirnehad's death sentence was handed down, Iranian blogger Rotten Gods pointed out: He is not a terrorist he is just a reporter being accused by Iranian regime for terrorism! Iranian regime has a long history of planting evidence against opponent of regime and here in the middle, journalists and media are the most innocent victims of Islamic regimes hostility towards people, freedom of speech and press.

No, no viral video. Watch carefully the yellow Persian cat on the video: It is another monarchist channel paid for by the American tax payers, so the racist Shahs of Iran can soon go back to recover their frozen wealth, and continue to sell oil to Israel virtually free and rule with a SAVAK secret police founded by Tel-Aviv.
