The problem is that the Mormon Church, specifically, stepped into the political arena, and part of that arena is that you throw a punch and take a punch. The churches cannot step into the arena and then go hiding claiming you cannot hurt us we a a church. Once you enter the arena and campaign against me, I have every right to campaign against you.

I haven't heard any church say that. That wasn't my point, either. It's that gay marriage supporters can't hide behind tolerance and acceptance for themselves, but then not show it for anybody else. It's counterproductive to attack the church, because people are going to see it as the claims from Yes on 8 becoming realized: that the gay community will attack religion if they don't get their way.

Interracial marriage laws specifically banned white people from marrying outside their race, since they were meant to keep the race pure. These were real laws, not equal laws that people twist to be oppressive. I don't care what you think about the church, to be honest. They have a right to vote however they choose. I don't hate gay people, but I understand the sentiment of those who do. Gays have effectively perpetrated everything they claim to want to get rid of: bigotry and hatred.

All the churches are saying that. The mormon church specifically is saying that they are getting "targeted." If they sit and think for a few seconds, they might realize it is because they organized all of their churches nationwide to get $ 22 million to take away my right to marry. Asking someone to be tolerant of an organization or group that openly calls you an abomination is like asking a Jewish girl to like dog crap of a Nazi's shew, insulting. Now, I do think that we need to be respectful.

Banning gay maridge shows that everything that we say makes us American and the freedoms we advertise to the world are just fucking empty promises. They all need to remember what happened to Sodom and Gomorrah. Repent and come to Jesus Christ he loves you and wants to set you free. God created Adam and Eve male and female created he them. sodom and gomorrah were not destroyed because people were gay. they were destroyed because the people had no faith in God. they worshipped false idols and broke almost everyone of the ten commandments. there is nothing in the ten commandments that bans being gay. it is not one of the seven deadly sins. so maybe read the bible before you start trying to quote it. you'll find the best line in it is "do unto others as you'd have them do unto you".

The only sex that is not a sin is between one man and one woman in holy matrimony. God said it in his Word he created us and he knows what is the best for us. God does not want us to get sexual diseases and to have to deal with all of the mental and emotional pain. In Sodom and Gomorrah the men were even trying to rape the angels.
