I just recently got the Paraguard IUD and I think it's great! I didn't find the insertion all that bad, in fact it didn't hurt any worse than my period cramps do.

Sorry, but this is not the most popular form of birth control in the world. Most people have never even heard of it. They all resort to condoms. None of my friends heard about this until I told them. I didn't even know about this until our doctor presented the option to me and my wife. I never knew it existed and it wasn't taught in Sex-Ed either.

I had a mirena last month and it was a so painfull!! I'm a mother of 3 and the procedure was just as painfull as a delivery contraction. Sorry to say but i vomited and nearly fainted in the doctor's office. BUT, so far it's a life change! No more pills to take every day! no worries! My husband and I are very happy... so far! 5 :)

It actually is a very popular for of birth control when you look at it from a worldwide view-not just your inner circle of friends. No, its not that popular in the U.S due to a bad rep in the states, but its very popular in Europe and China for example. I also heard that many of the woman at planned parenthood have iud's because they know it is the absolute best form of birth control!

It has been two years that i got the mirena put in and i luv it. I have two children and am not ready yet for the 3rd. Hurts a little at first and i bleed for two whole weeks. But the releif is well worth it and i get to just enjoy my two beautiful girls!! It really works.

Wow, very educational video. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I will think about purchasing this item. It's a pain in the ass at times to use condoms and I don't think I'm allowed to take birthcontrol due to other medication I'm taking. :-P

The IUD was horrible!!! Initially, I got a period that lasted at least 3 months! It made me super weak.. loss of iron. It also was not pleasing during intercourse. I called it a mousetrap. It pokes my boyfriend. I get irregular bleeding and pms for about 2 weeks. My sex drive has dropped almost completely. It may be due to the discomfort? I am not sure. Vaginal dryness.. ughh I know, just being honest. I'm taking it out finally.. after 8 months of torture.

amazing? wait until the side effects kick in. this just shows how weak you are as an individual. i mean that by, your willing to put some object in YOUR body because you dont want to b responsible for your actions. married or not. nobody controls your body but you. 7 yrs of protection? you need to research your government on the cover tactics thats used on the pple(us). this may stop you from doing further damage to ur body. the one that you were born with.

well get back to me when the side effects kick in. that should b very nice. you will then be given more medication to cover up those symptoms. and the cycle continues. just pay attention to the small things when they start to break down slowly but surely. you wasnt born with it so that means you dont need it. take responsibility for your actions. all you want to do is have NO WORRIES. do you really think putting that inside of you will stop worries.? at the end of the day you have a new one now.

These steroids are a group 1 carcinogen, right up there with asbestos and tobacco. i was an idiot for getting this! my husband convinced me to get this mirena. i have to many side effects to write it all... i bled for 3 1/2 months straight.(very light flow after 3 weeks) i cramp all the time, my back hurts, moodswings,confusion........
i dont thinks it horrible its just not right for me...other people do fine with it like my sis n friends
