Feel free to take "a crack at" me.
You are a child.
Before you decide to take a crack at me, go find someone in your military, because we know you never enlisted, and ask them what they were taught. Ask them what chance you would have against them in a real fight, not something judged on points with a referee.
Add to that the certain knowledge I will have that if you track me down and show up in person, you are seriously deranged and my life is in jeopardy.
Then, take a crack at me.
THEY HAVE THE RIGHT OF FREEDOM OF SPEECH JUST LIKE ANYONE ELSE ON THIS EARTH. DO I LIKE HEARING THE CONTROVERSY? NO, BUT I CAN DEAL WITH IT. THEY ARE STILL OUTSTANDING MUSICIANS. THEY HAD THE #1 ALBUM OF THE YEAR W/OUT IT EVEN BEING PLAYED ON ANY RADIO STATION. THAT TELLS US ALL SOMETHING!!!
I LOVE MY POLITICAL PARTY AND THEM AS WELL....
"no i met barnicle " Really? Where did you meet barnicle? It should not surprise me. With your grasp on reality, a barnicle is likely your best bet for a peer.
Had no idea who he was. Googled him, watched his last appearance on Johnny Carson. I never really liked Johnny, so his show held no appeal for me.
Looked Pete up on IMDB. He seems to have enjoyed moderate success. Entertainment is a tough business, so any success is noteworthy. Looking through his filmography, I have not seen anything with him in it. Nor have I seen his stand-up act, other than the YT vid.
So, I am not a fan. I don't know him.
The issue is annoying your fan base.
If Pete were from Texas, with a predominately country music fan base, and was successful enough to get high profile media coverage, then Yes, he would have caused a large reaction among his fans.
You have to look at the type of fans. Barbara Streisand kissed Bush on the cheek recently. She did not endorse him politically or say nice things about him and her fans went nuts. Imagine if she stood up and said she supported the war and Bush.
You have hit upon the major reason I think 'fringe groups' should be tolerated. Their mere existence should cause us to consider our own beliefs, in the presence of contradictory beliefs.
A life unexamined is not worth living. A thought held dogmatically, without periodic examination, is not worth thinking.
And I dont have a problem with Republicans or Democrats. Liberals, specifically socialist... well, that is another story.
;D
