Thank you so much for making this video. 15+ doctors later, i am still sick. When is the CDC going to wake up and change the standard testing to the Western Blot? Who profits from the ELISA? There we will find our answers. This is such a TRAVESTY to MANKIND.

Thanks so much to TOFU for sharing this. My big question is, why do doctors even have to depend so much on the laboratory and the worthless tests to tell them how to treat someone, (or not treat them). Can't they use thier eyes?? And diagnose it clinically???
I think this whole Lyme Disease nightmare is one of the biggest scandals in the history of medicine.

I was bit bye ticks in 2001 and have been sick ever since i was 10 years old a little girl with not a care in the world....ever since then ive had joint pain fatiuge and awful headaches but its like when i go to the doctors its "Your making it up" "There's nothing wrong with you" "Well lets take another blood test" I SWEAR IF ANOTHER DOCTOR SAYS THAT TO ME IM GONNA PUNCH THEM IN THE FACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! why on earth would i make it up?? why would i fake it? and i dont wanna be poked anymore

It almost seems better to avoid most modern hospitals altogether if you have a swollen tick bite because they either will disagree you have lyme disease altogether (especially if you have shitty health insurance) or they'll pump you up with a cocktail of antibiotics that will destroy your health.
I can understand ... ( 7 months ago by sunsetdivingbird)
I can understand how it might seem that way... but believe me, if you have Lyme, you NEED to get treatment. Lyme is progressive and generally gets harder to treat the longer you have it. Treatment for early Lyme is usually just a single oral antibiotic, for a couple of months at the most. If someone who was recently infected is given multiple or IV antibiotics, it is usually because they already have neurological involvement or other symptoms of "late-stage" Lyme. (cont'd below)
The treatments for ... ( 7 months ago by sunsetdivingbird)
The treatments for chronic/late-stage Lyme are much more difficult... these treatments shouldn't "destroy your health" themselves either, but they are NOT fun, since they can cause symptoms to get worse temporarily as bacteria dies off. And those of us with chronic Lyme often have to stay on these medicines for months or years (and often this disease has destroyed our lives in many ways by the time we get treatment). That's why it's so important to get treatment before it becomes chronic.
It's true that many ... ( 7 months ago by sunsetdivingbird)
It's true that many doctors don't know enough about Lyme... if you think you may have Lyme, look for a "Lyme-literate doctor" or "LLMD" (a term used in the Lyme community
—-most regular doctors won't know what you mean if you ask for a referral to one)... you can find one through LymeNet or the Lyme Disease Association website. And btw, according to the International Lyme and Associated Diseases Society, fewer than 50% of people with Lyme saw a tick or noticed a
rash-- see ILADS (dot) org.

I'm so sorry... I've been sick since I was 14 and know how hard it is to have a chronic illness when you're young (it must have been even harder for you, at just 10 years old!). I hope you find a better doctor soon who will give you the care that you need!
