Fantastic TV - what a pity the BBC erased most of the first three series. This included 'Beach Head' starring Ed Bishop and 'The Yellow Pill' both great stories. If only all the series would turn up in some archive somewhere :(

That's OK - I saw it on local TV when it was first broadcast (early 70s in Australia). It was enough to make me want to read the book.

Author: J B Priestley (1894-1984) Other works incl. Angel Pavement Novel, 1930 English Journey (a 1930s excursion ) Postscripts (1940, wartime BBC radio broadcast through the Battle of Britain when invasion seemed imminent. With his beautiful words and calm Yorkshire delivery helped keep my parents' generation sane and look to the future, I think!) An Inspector Calls (a morality tale) Hoping you didn't know this already!

This is such realistic film. Look around you, why would you work for food and housing? It's free you know? We kill people because they have nothing to sell. To slowly starve them. You believe in that? All humans are destined to be slaves or be killed? Food is only for the chosen. This is what you have been conditioned to believe. Like monsters we kill millions. The others have no problem with it. Why would you? Face it.
