the song is not about heroin, running to stand still is about heroin. i was in my early 20's when this concert was put on. they stole the show. they thought they didn't do well and considered their career over. also saw them in boston in 1981. still have the tshirt. great show live

Great song. It also almost broke them up. The band was furious with Bono for going over their time limit. They wanted to play their new single, but did not have time due to the length of "Bad".
