Yes, it's a shame in the real world. This musicvideo doesn't give sympathy to these children. These children seem scary, hollow, worthless and doesn't think about the consequences of their actions. It only shows us an impression of the world the director created without an ending or a beginning. He only tells us that kids are mindless and can't think for themselves. So if it was up to us grown ups and parents - then make a musicvideo about us grown ups changing these kids! That's interesting!

Actually, I believe it's a combination of both. Of course people can do drugs and still come off sane and non-violent. Hell, some people can even endure abuse and still grow up mentally stable. But these kids are subjected to neglect and abuse AND drugs and smokes, all the while living in a society that promotes violence as hip and cool, a system that couldn't care less about helping them...and those kids in the video are, what, only 9-10 years old? No wonder they become gun-toting zombies...
