That's absolutely absurd to try an 8 year old as an adult. What's going through these peoples' heads? Probably politics.
And just how tough a gig is it for a gang of professional police interrogators to elicit a false confession from an 8 year old? Piece of cake. The kid's presumed innocent until proven guilty by a jury of his peers. I hope his peers aren't all 8 year olds -- or are they?

I give up on government of any kind. We should take back the law into our own hands, regardless of the chaos that ensues.

I dont know in my mind whether or not this child did this crime or not. But from what I have heard in the news its like the police are really trying to do everything in their power to make mark this child as guilty. Sometimes when police dont have many leads then they work the case around the suspect that they have instead of really making sure that their aren't any other suspects.

The boy had no adult guardian or lawyer during the interrogation, nor was he given a Miranda warning advising him of his right to remain silent.

Children under 7 can use infancy as a defense. Supposedly at age 7 kids learn to judge right from wrong. So this kid basically just got fucked.

Why is everyone assuming he is guilty? As far as I can tell there is no evidence of his guilt and his confession was completely led!

It's important to note that there was no guardian present and he wasn't read his miranda rights (as if he would understand them in the first place), but I don't buy the idea that the confession was "led" by the interrogator. I watched the entire interrogation. It took at least thirty minutes or so of the kid changing his story back and forth before he finally got to the point where he said "I might have shot him". He was scared and tried to make up a story. But tried as an adult? No way.

An 8yr old should never be tried as an adult. That is a second grader and yes he did something wrong but how dare they think that he can comprehend all that he does. This is so ridiculous...~Raven
I hope he is tried ... ( 1 month ago by goodguy309)
I hope he is tried as an adult and any other kid who commits and adult crime. Maybe society will finally wake up and reverse this quick slide of humanity into a shithole. People want to take the 'children got to learn' attitude when it comes to sex, drugs, profanity, disrespect for the law then society shouldn't have a problem when it comes times for these idiot parents of these undisciplined kids get carted off to jail. Too bad, boo hoo hoo...
This is a sad thing ... ( 1 month ago by mrfuknuts)
This is a sad thing. So heartbreaking !!!! Has anyone wondered what would provoke an 8 year old to do this? I find it hard to believe that this child did this without some underlying trama. Was he molested, beaten, or anything that , over a period of time would set him off. However , we do have young children that are growing up to much mature for their mentality
