Supersized Models

About the content:
They are genuine heavyweights, all their weight combined adds up to almost a ton, and yet Andrea Stewart and her three friends are booked solid in the modeling industry. They don't have any body image problems, they just love their every pound.
"I like these photo shoots," says Andrea Stewart. "You don't have to look like Kate Moss or all those topmodels, everybody can be as fat as they want to be. I think I'm beautiful and I make money doing this."
Andrea is the star among the passionate voluptuous models, she struts her stuff on the catwalk, and she has a lot of stuff to strut. Americans love the four women. Not suprisingly, after all they're not the only big ones in the country. Photographer Tim Burton has been taking the plus-size models' pictures for years. The main condition for having one's picture taken by him are the perfect measurements 180-120-180 (in cm, would be 71-47-71 in inches).
Angie Powers: "There just aren't any pretty swimsuits for us. It's hard enough to find jeans that fit properly."
Janelle Bonlie had a great business idea: Swimsuits for fat people. She has experienced the problem herself, there just never was anything to wear for her, so she started designing her own clothes - successfully.
Janelle: "Plus-size women have been told for years and years "You have to cover up", "You cannot show your skin", that they should be ashamed to be this size. We never dared to wear a bikini. Now, people are surprised that large people can look good in a two-piece swimsuit.
Her costumers' extra weight does put an extra strain on her designs, so they have to be especially stable, especially tearproof. Andrea and the others are putting the clothes to the test in the pool. The bikinis fit, contain the curves, the girls really are having fun. They'll never be topmodels with top salaries, but they don't even care.
Sharon Jones: "There's a great camaraderie among us people of size, we're especially friendly towards one another. We have to stick together, because we don't necessarily get the kind of support we need from people outside."
And sometimes, our four models just dream of making the cover of a famous fashion magazine. In order to achieve that, however, they would have to lose weight. But that's completely out of the question for the heavy quartett. They want to remain just the way they are.
And so they pose for the photographers, very professionally. They really put their backs into it. They simply enjoy being in front of the camera and they've long given up on counting calories. Fat is nice. They show themselves in all their enormous glory. You can't hide a single ounce in front of the camera. But after all, they are being paid according to their weight.
Angie Powers: "I think people are getting to realize that not everybody can be skinny and that as people, we are worth just as much as our thin counterparts."
They promised themselves one thing: They never want to lose weight. They say they feel good the way they are. That may even be true, but one thing is certain: Their bodies are their capital and going on a diet would cause their wages to melt away ounce by ounce, dollar by dollar.

To thine own self be true.
Then you contradict yourself in the last half of your comments---you say "why can't we all just be ourselves and accept everyone else for who they are".
