What you experienced was a station back up. Someone taking to long to load/unload, cars got backed up.. it's one of the few unfortunate variables that can't be controlled: handicaps.

I remember when the car stalls...and it's trying to restart...the first time I rode this when I was around 12 I thought the ride was stalling and we'd all get hurt...LOL These kinds of rides are the best when you're a kid. :) But I still love it!!

Man, I love this ride. Every time I've gone to Disneyland (twice--2000 and 2008) I go on this ride a million times. The first time I went on it, I thought the car actually stalled in the dark and I freaked out, then with the boulder I'm pretty sure I screamed, being a small child, haha! Though I couldn't wait to go back on.

Reminds me of the good times.
Haha I hated waiting in line in the cave where it was all dark and stuff. I use to hold onto my sister's hand when we walked in cause it was creepy. x] and then the ride was super fun, I love being in the front row with the steering wheel even though it does nothing xD.

same here only the car stalled as it was going down and our car came up right behind it and the emergency lights were on so we got a cool little backstage look as we exited. Good times Good times.

i love when old people get on this. it's so fun to sit behind them and watch them. i also love first time riders, they have no idea whats about to happen. lol.
