Check the video response. The video shows you how to attach the spindle to a weedeater engine, but I attached the spindle to this chainsaw engine pretty much the same way.

I will eventually. I would right now, but I'm still trying to figure out the best way to mount it because it's not mounted that well as you can see in the video.

It's simple really. ... ( 3 months ago by NUKEMDAVE)
It's simple really. All you have do is find a chainsaw, remove the blade, chain, etc., attach a spindle (roller) and mount it to the bike. The motor turns the roller which turns the wheel and it makes it go! It's very cheap on gas! You can find instructions and plans on the internet to do it yourself.
Very simple project!

It really looked like the wheeel was spinning backwards, but I could be wrong, but if it is I think it would be very difficult to ride.
It's spinning ... ( 2 months ago by NUKEMDAVE)
It's spinning forward. I happen to know because I built it and I've rode it several times. Yes, it's kind of hard to ride with one hand on the handlebars, but it works and that's what counts. :)
Hmmm... what ... ( 2 months ago by revitup1965)
Hmmm... what happens when your tire gets wet? Your roller just spins.
could you make ojnw ... ( 1 month ago by theleakytaps)
could you make ojnw to be chain driven
Yes, you probably ... ( 1 month ago by NUKEMDAVE)
Yes, you probably could, but the sprocket on the wheel would have to be real big otherwise it would be to much strain on the motor. Some people makes their motorized bikes belt-driven.

there's absolutely no reason for that pipe to be on the wheel like that.. you should cut half of that exhaust pipe off and replace the second half with a curved exhaust pipe, weld it together, and now we're talkin
It is friction ... ( 3 weeks ago by wsterfred)
It is friction drive. The pipe is the spindle which is what turns the wheel.
while i dont agree ... ( 2 weeks ago by thompsxD)
while i dont agree with ur idea of a open faced pipe that sits on the back tire, over time will cause the tires outter regions to break down, but maybe for improvements weld a support bar that holds the pipe to the tire, and maybe a welded on grip pattern on the pipe for more grip to solde the wetness problem,(lol i said wetness problem) but other tan that good job and keep inventing, and ps, y is it that every motorized something i see on youtube is a homelite chainsaw motor? --Thomps--
