Ayrton Senna was the king of monaco, so to speak he was great i think the follow up to Senna defenetly was Schumacher he was the next king of monaco, and before both of them there was the great Niki Lauda

peter Windsor, one of the great F1 writers did an article quite recently about great drivers at street circuits. And he seemed to focus on Mansell and Carlos Reutemann as two of the very fastest. Although Mansell never won monaco, he put it down to the variables of F1, but that Mansell was probably just about the fastest. He also praised Graham Hill, Clark, Senna, Raikkonen and Hamilton for their exceptional talent at this track.

There is simply no doubt - Senna was the greatest ever, and Mansell is my favourite driver ever, so this clip is simply amazing and incredibly significant. I know it's been said here before, but why can't F1 be like this anymore?

Nigel was my hero, my idol as I grew up and always my favorite driver. But if there was one driver who had the most natural talent, speed and determination it was Senna, and in my eyes he was the greatest driver i've ever seen. In the words of Murray Walker: "When he died, he became a legend that will never be forgotten." RIP Ayrton.

If you watched the first 70 laps of this race, you see that Mansell was ahead by over 30 seconds. Senna only got the lead because Mansell came in for a tire stop with less than 10 laps to go. Why, I have no idea. It was a stupid move. Mansell then closed a 5 second gap to Senna in about 3 laps to set up what is posted here by JJK Racing.
I won't argue that Senna was one of the greatest ever, but this race was gifted to him by Mansell and Williams.

Even a monkey could win in the FW015C, it had more electronic gizmo's than nowadays is allowed. This makes the achievement of Senna even bigger. Mansell could not even stand in the shadow of Senna. Sometimes he had brilliant actions but I've seen him do very very stupid things. One of his last weapon facts was completely wrecking a two seater in a demo lap with a bigtime paying guest....

Formula 1 has been dead since the 21 century aka 2001. Never again will there be another Ayrton Senna.
